3 BIG cheers for our friend, Jean Pauls mom, Gretchen Rau! This is her third Academy Award Nomination for Art Direction! She won 'Oscar' last year for "Memoirs of a Geisha." She was also nominated for "The Last Samurai" but did not win. This year she is nominated for "The Good Shepherd," whom the film is dedicated, directed by Robert DeNiro. Sadly, Gretchen passed away late last March. She was taken much too soon and very missed.

It is a real honor to her and her life's work.
She was an incredibly talented, dedicated, and kind woman. We hope you will cheer for her -with us- from Northport on Oscar Night: the 25th of this month! No matter what happens, we will never forget her or her gracious spirit. She really was, one of a kind...
